Business Analyst - Business Intelligence

We’re looking for a Business Intelligence Business Analyst in our Draper, Utah office. The Business Analyst position is a cross-functional role on the IT team that reports to a Director or Senior Director of Data Services. The BA is the single point of contact and responsible for all product documentation activities pertaining to problem, solution, requirement gathering, mock ups, and rollout plans.

What You'll Do:

  • Own the relationship and serve as the liaison between the functional and technical requirements
  • Work with business users to gather reporting requirements
  • Document requirements in form of a requirements document or a functional specification
  • Work with the technical and business teams to prepare the quality assurance testing plans and validation of the sprint goals
  • Help during user acceptance testing
  • Communicate clearly and support an environment for clear communication, cooperation, collaboration, and conflict resolution

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

  • Self-driven. You have superior organizational skills, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
  • You’re innovative, creative, and constantly looking for ways to deliver
  • Appreciative and supportive of a culture that promotes sense of ownership, responding with a sense of urgency, collaboration and mutual respect
  • A team member that goes out of your way to educate and support each other
  • Relevant experience as a trusted technology advisor to senior business leaders and key decision maker
  • Hands-on experience in documenting reporting and analytics requirements and in breaking them up in smaller deliverables
  • Familiarity with methodologies like agile or scrum
  • Three or more years’ experience in the fields of Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or Database Development
  • Two or more years’ experience working with business leaders, customers, and end users on a daily/weekly basis
  • Two or more years working in a small team environment
  • Exceptional English language written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Knowledge of Transact SQL is preferred
  • Strong work-ethic and self-motivated and flexibility with a fast-paced environment
