Compliance Analyst

Draper, UT

Progressive Leasing is looking for a Compliance Analyst.  As a Compliance Analyst, you will be researching, analyzing and forecasting company compliance needs and consulting with local and executive management on the company's needs and any areas of concern.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the Compliance and Legal teams with research projects and written assignments
  • Monitor emerging industry trends as well as changes in the legal and regulatory landscape, particulaarly with respect to BSA-AML Compliance
  • Identify and respond to regulatory, operational business, legal and reputational risks facing the organization
  • Assist with reports, assessments and filings as needed
  • Assist with regulatory inquiries and exams
  • Assist with the roll-out and training of new compliance initiatives
  • Assist with the Compliance Testing team be performing tests, gathering and reporting data

You are:

  • Proficiency in using online legal research tools (preferably Westlaw)
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience in regulatory compliance of the legal field is preferred
  • Basic understanding of the legal, regulatory and political landscape as it relates to state laws, FCRA, TCPA, Dodd-Frank, Sarbanes Oxley, FDCPA, BSA-AML, fair lending and institutions such as the CFPB and FTC
  • Experience with anti-money laundering Compliance (BSA-AML) is a plus
  • Familiarity with the state-by-state lease/Rent-to-Own (RTO) statutory regime
  • Experience in testing or audit, or working knowledge of statistical sampling a plus
  • Prior working experience for a regulatory agency is not required, but considered a strong plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment and a manifestation or strong support for the business goals of the organization
