Do you like working with data to answer wickedly difficult questions, tell compelling stories, and drive critical business decisions that ultimately propel a business forward? As a Marketing Analytics Manager at Progressive Leasing, you will lead discovery of customer, market, campaign insights, and development of strategic recommendations that shape marketing investment choices. You will work closely with Progressive’s marketing and data science teams to improve the lease-to-own customer experience, drive new customer acquisition, and maximize customer lifetime value via repeat leases. You will have an opportunity to work with a rich data set and leading data technologies including AI and machine learning. You will blend analytics, data mining, modeling, and reporting to drive fundamental shifts in the way we do business. You will develop a profound understanding of the subprime customer, offline and online marketing campaign performance, and various methods of customer acquisition and customer relationship marketing. This understanding will inform our marketing roadmap and drive to a measurable, constantly improving return on marketing spend. Most importantly, you will be part of a team that serves as the backbone of one of Utah’s fastest growing companies, in an exciting, emerging industry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop deep analytical insights around the lease-to-own customer experience marketing spend
  • Make data driven recommendations to the marketing organization on how to improve the customer experience and where to invest marketing dollars
  • Present to key retail partners to help influence marketing spend in-store, out-of-store, and in targeted and mass media
  • Be a highly motivated, result-oriented self-starter who can deliver results with minimal guidance
  • Define, build, analyze, monitor, and report Key Results and KPIs that inform marketing strategy
  • Analyze and report on customer behavior, sentiment, and outcomes to non-technical business partners
  • Design and implement a model for measuring a tracking customer lifetime value
  • Develop test and control market analysis capability and train internal teams on how to leverage this capability to test marketing spend at a market/store level
  • Lead marketing attribution modeling and assist with A/B testing
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance outcomes to non-technical business partners
  • Collect, process, clean, transform, and validate data from a variety of sources so that it can be used for analysis by the team and the business
  • Build strategic relationships and manage communication and alignment across multiple partner teams including: Marketing, Product Management, Design, Development, Sales, and Operations
  • Understand the Progressive Leasing business, product strategy, data, and tools
  • Support the marketing team with customer research, industry research, reporting/analytics, and general coordination of projects to improve customer and marketing understanding and reporting capability

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

  • 4+ years’ experience applying advanced statistical modeling techniques to solve complex problems
  • 4+ years' experience measuring the effectiveness of digital media and Omni-Channel campaigns (Digital Display, paid social, paid search, billboards, transit advertising, TV, Direct Mail, etc.)
  • Create telling stories from diverse analytic and behavioral inputs
  • Generate questions and analysis that drive the business forward
  • Lead marketing attribution modeling/ROI measurement
  • Set up and execute matched-market/test and control market experiments
  • Manipulate and analyze complex data sets for both ad hoc analysis as well as for presentation
  • Data driven mindset with 4+ years’ work experience doing quantitative analysis or customer research and/or degree in either a CS, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative discipline 
  • Fluent in SQL and Excel or ability to learn quickly on the job
  • Experience in visualization tools to help drive data adoption and knowledge across an organization
  • Preferred experience at a software technology company, in tech, finance, consulting or related industry
  • Familiarity with data warehousing, architecture, pipeline and ETL concepts/tools is preferred
  • Expertise in digital metrics, including web analytics (e.g., Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics, etc) and digital media attribution
