Progressive Leasing is looking for a new Staff Accountant to add to our team. We are growing rapidly and looking to strengthen our Accounting Department. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to maintain a positive attitude, communicate well, provide A/R and cash reconciliation, have a strong attention to detail and a working knowledge of accounting policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Although you may work remotely on a temporary basis due to COVID-19, this position will be based out of our Headquarters in Draper, UT. Living within a reasonable radius is required as it may be necessary for you to visit the office on a business needs basis. 


  • Review general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Perform account analysis and reconciliation for general ledger accounts
  • Reconcile daily accounts receivable transactions from source to general ledger
  • Reconcile daily cash transactions from bank to general ledger
  • Review and analyze customer accounts in source system to determine accuracy of transactions, identify cause of any issues and propose solution to correct
  • Adhere to SOX controls and compliance
  • Assist with audit fieldwork for financial statement audits
  • Other Duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years’ experience in an accounting role (internships will be considered)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to independently identify issues, conduct research, and propose solutions
  • Self-driven with superior organizational skills, focus, integrity, and great follow-through on tasks
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and willingness to learn
  • Problem-solving and time management skills
  • Comfortable and willing to take responsibility and ownership of deadlines with associated processes
  • Must meet processing and reporting deadlines
  • Ability to work well with others and independently in a fast-paced environment


  • Account reconciliation experience
  • Accounting system experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated and understands the impact of a results-driven, highly successful team
